I wanted to capture the idea of savouring all that is good in life,

to indulge the senses and the spirit.

We should take heed of the poem by William Henry Davies that begins

We have no time to stand and stare?

He's actually gentle and unassuming.

I'm so late with the prompt from last week, that I'm nearly too late for this week!

I've done two illustrations this week!

After helping me to rake the autumn leaves this morning, Felix looks spent.

I'm sure he feels that sleeping is also time well spent!


The second is a spent match.

I have been trying to create an illustration for this week's word, but the results didn't look how I wanted them to.

So I have used an illustration that I made earlier this year, as part of my studies in graphic design and illustration, to illustrate a gardening article about collecting and storing seeds.

A couple of sketches this week - I spent so long deciding what to do that I didn't give myself enough time to create a finished piece of work.

The images are inspired by our kitten, now 10 months old, who leaps
and dashes about chasing anything that moves!
